Dr Jaewon Heo is an Australian trained oral and maxillofacial surgeon with clinical experience across Australia and New Zealand. Dr Heo completed his Dental degree with Distinction at the University of Otago in 2010, followed by his Medical degree.

His residency spans multiple surgical disciplines, including ENT, Plastic Surgery, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, giving him a broad and comprehensive understanding of facial anatomy and surgical techniques. Subsequently, Dr. Heo completed Oral & Maxillofacial specialist training in Melbourne, Victoria. Driven by a commitment to continual learning, he undertook further fellowship training in Orthognathic Surgery (corrective jaw surgery) and Facial Trauma, two areas he is passionate about. His specialised expertise enables him to manage complex cases, ensuring optimal functional and aesthetic results for his patients.

Dr. Heo values a collaborative, team-based approach, recognising that shared knowledge leads to the best patient outcomes. He thrives in challenging surgical environments and is dedicated to delivering the highest standard of care to his patients and is thus very excited to join a group practice with great surgeons.

Currently, Dr. Heo holds a public appointment at Surgical, Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS) Hospital and Logan Hospital, where he continues to apply his expertise to complex surgical cases.

Dr Heo is fluent in Korean. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children and exploring beautiful places in Brisbane and Queensland.
